Krill
Krill is the currency of Waddle Inn. You spend it in the Shop on furni, and you can swap it with other penguins in a trade.
Your balance
Your Krill balance is always visible near the right end of the toolbar, next to the icon. It updates the moment you buy, trade or receive Krill.
Starting Krill
Every new penguin signed in with a wallet starts with 500 Krill, enough to furnish a first room: a sofa, a table, a lamp and a few nice extras. Guests and penguins signed in with Google start with 100 Krill.
The daily bonus
Come back every day and the inn gives you 25 Krill as a thank-you. The bonus is paid automatically the first time you sign in on a new day. A message on screen tells you about it, and your balance goes up straight away.
Getting more Krill
There are four ways to grow your Krill:
- Visit every day to collect the daily bonus.
- Play mini-games: catch fish, win snowball fights, races and quiz questions, and pick up the odd pile of Krill on the floor of a public room. See Mini-games.
- Trade furni you no longer need with other penguins in exchange for Krill. See Trading.
- Sell furni you no longer need at the Grand Exchange, to the walrus dealer or at a market stall. See The Grand Exchange.
Where Krill goes
- The Shop. Each piece of furni has a price in Krill. See The Shop and your inventory.
- Trades. You can add Krill to your side of a trade. It only leaves your account if the trade is completed by both sides.
- The Grand Exchange. Second-hand furni from other penguins, always below the Shop price. See Buying at a market stall.
Krill can’t be spent by accident: every purchase needs a click on the Buy button, and every trade needs both penguins to accept and then confirm.
