- Accept
- The first of the two steps that complete a trade. Both penguins accept the offers; any change clears both accepts. See Trading.
- Badge
- A small emblem on a penguin’s profile, earned automatically, for example for owning a room or completing a trade. See Badges.
- Ban
- Being kept out. A room’s owner can ban a penguin from that room for an hour, a day or for good; the inn’s staff can ban a whole account. See Staying safe.
- Grand Exchange
- The public room where penguins sell furni they no longer need, to the walrus dealer or to each other at the market stalls. See The Grand Exchange.

- The smith at the forge on Moon Isle’s Lower Ring who sells gear and mends worn or broken pieces. See Wear and the blacksmith.
- Build rights
- See Rights.
- Card

- Condition
- How much wear a piece of gear has left, from 100% down to Broken. It shows as a thin bar, green, then amber, then red. See Wear and the blacksmith.

- Daily bonus
- 25 Krill paid once per day (UTC) when you sign in. See Krill.
- Door
- The tile where penguins enter a room. Nothing may be placed on it. The Door setting of a room decides who may come in: Open, Locked or Password.
- Fee

- Fish log
- The row of fish on your profile card: every kind you’ve caught, how many and your heaviest. See Ice fishing.

- Game furni
- Furni from the Games tab of the Shop that anyone can play with, such as fishing holes, snow piles and the ice die. See Mini-games.
- Guest

- Ignore
- Hiding a penguin’s chat and whispers from yourself. See Ignoring a penguin.
- Ice staff
- A two-handed weapon from the magician on the Lower Ring that hits creatures from a few steps away. See The magician’s ice staffs.
- Inn
- Waddle Inn seen from outside, where a visit starts (if you left off on Moon Isle, you come back out there instead). Each door and window is a public room, and so are the market stall by the jetty (the Grand Exchange), the cellar stairs (the Krill Bowl) and the kiosk right of the path (the Penguin Exchange); the guest wing holds the player rooms.
- Isle Grand Exchange
- The second Grand Exchange, on the east side of Moon Isle’s upper ring, where penguins trade gear and the resources their igloos harvest. Its walrus buys gear only. See The Isle Grand Exchange on Moon Isle.
- Inventory
- Everything your penguin carries: furni and gear that isn’t placed in a room or put away in your cabinet.
- Kick
- Sending a penguin out of your room. They can come back right away.
