Controls at a glance

Everything you can click, type and press, on one page.

Mouse

Action	How
Walk	Click the floor.
Sit down	Click a seat.
Stand up	Click the floor next to your seat.
See who someone is	Click their penguin.
Look at a piece of furni	Click it.
Use furni (lamps, chests, radios …)	Double-click it. Needs build rights, except in public rooms when you’re signed in with a wallet.
Play game furni (fishing holes, snow piles, dice …)	Double-click it, or click it and then its play button. Works for everyone.
Throw a snowball	In a snowball fight, click a penguin of the other team.
Move the view	Drag the room with the mouse.
Zoom in and out	Mouse wheel over the room, or the + / − button in the top-right corner.
Fullscreen	The button in the top-right corner (not on iPhones, whose browser can’t).
See a piece of gear’s card	Point at it in the stats card, your inventory or your cabinet. On a touch screen, press and hold it; tap anywhere to put the card away.
Put on or take off gear	On Moon Isle, open the stats box in the top-left corner: click a piece under Bag to wear it, a slot under Gear to take it off.
See which gear needs mending	On Moon Isle, point at ⚠ Gear in the stats box; click it to open the stats card.
Find the blacksmith	Click Show the smith on a gear warning: the map opens with the forge marked.
Move a window	Drag it by its title bar.
Close a window or card	Click in its corner.

Type these into the chat box and press Enter.

Shop	Buy furni with Krill
Inventory	What your penguin carries: furni and gear that isn’t placed or in your cabinet
Penguin	Your profile card, your look and motto, and your clan
Friends	Friends list and requests
Chats	The Messenger: private messages
Wave	Wave once
Dance	Start or stop dancing
Igloo home	Your igloo on Moon Isle (not for guests)
Sound	Sound on or off, music and effects volume
Your name	Your penguin menu, see below
Mod tools	Staff only: reports, chat logs and account actions

A toolbar button lights up while its window is open. Click it again to close the window.

Your penguin menu

Click your name at the right end of the toolbar.

Entry	Opens or does
Wallets & NFTs	Link and unlink wallets
Sign out	Leave the inn

Click anywhere else or press Esc to close the menu.

Room card

The card in the top-left corner of the room.

Button	Does
Inn	Steps outside, in front of the Inn
Outside	In an igloo: steps back out onto the Igloo Terrace
Ride down	In the Headroom: takes the cable car back down to the Upper Ring
Lobby	Takes you back to the Iceberg Lobby (not shown while you’re in it or in an igloo)
Other rooms	Opens the Rooms window (in an igloo: Other igloos)
Settings	Owners only: the room’s settings

Buttons on cards and panels

	Follow	Friends list	Takes you to their room. For an igloo, or an Inn room while you’re on Moon Isle, a marker shows the way instead
	Accept	Requests tab	Accepts a friend request
	Rotate	Furni panel	Turns the item
	Move	Furni panel	Moves the item
	Use	Furni panel	Switches the item’s state
	Pick up	Furni panel	Puts your own item back in your inventory; anyone else’s goes into its owner’s cabinet
